It is Spring. Time for Renewal.
At one time I was a writer. When I launched this site in May 2007 I had every good intention of writing something every day. Well… you know what they say about good intentions. For a long while I did write regularly. In 2007 I had 17 years of pent up experience and stories to share and that kept me posting regularly into 2009 and that is when things began to taper off. I got distracted. We left our old firm and spun off on our own. Shortly thereafter we changed Broker Dealers. The practice grew. And all of those "reasons" are really just excuses.
Once I got out of the habit of writing regularly it was hard to re-start. A potential topic would cross my mind and I would think "I've already written about that" but recently it also occurred to me that I wrote about that topic five years ago. Even if nothing has changed, after five years it is worth looking at again from a fresh perspective and five more years of experience.
It begins now. Just as the flowers bloom and the foliage blossoms in the spring I am going to write again. But I am not going to try and fool myself to committing to posting every day. Twice a week certainly seems relevant and reasonable. To make sure I live up to my commitment I have already listed out several weeks of subject matter.
