No Acronyms… and Food!
One of my clients called. You may remember her. She is the one who told me that I burned down Disneyland. Anyway, she said that after reading my post about Capital Transfer Plans she determined that lately my blog has been too heavy and that reading it sometimes makes her head hurt. She said that she wants me to write a post which has no acronyms and it would be great if I could include something about food. This post is inspired by her…
My grandmother's Pot Roast recipe
My family loves this recipe. My grandmother gave it to my mother, who gave it to me. It is simple and easy and with the exception I make it in a slow cooker, it is just like grandma used to make. When I share it with others they often look at the ingredients and wonder if they really go well together. Trust me, they do.
2/3 Cup Orange Juice
1 packet dehydrated Onion Soup mix
4 Tablespoons Ketchup
4 Tablespoons Pancake Syrup
Garlic Powder, to taste
Pepper, to taste
Pot Roast (or chicken)
Desired Vegetables
Spray slow cooker crock with non-stick spray. Reserving meat and vegetables, mix other ingredients together and put in bottom of crock pot. Add meat. Cook on low for 8 hours basting once or twice. Add vegetables to cook to desired tenderness (approximately half way).
Enjoy!
